![]() 2011 Legislative Priorities @ the State and Local Levels
Throughout the 2011 Legislative Session, the Hammond Chamber of Commerce speaks as the voice of the Hammond business community to promote ideals that align with the Legislative Priorities set by its membership and adopted by its Board of Directors. The Chamber monitors legislation, advocates for and against specific bills and joined the BILD (Businesses for Improving Louisiana’s Development) Coalition in 2010 in order to collectively advance higher education reform that will benefit our city, region and state. The following is a summary of bills and actions with direct impact on the priorities of our membership. This information is provided to keep you informed of the ongoing issues facing our local community and the state’s economy. If you would like to get involved as a member of the Chamber’s Governmental Affairs Committee, please email: director@hammondchamber.org. |
